POP3 account setup steps for iPhone
- Touch settings from the main menu.
- Touch Mail, Contacts, Calendars from the Settings menu.
- Under the Accounts Section of Mail, Contacts, Calendars touch Add Account…
- Touch Other.
- Touch Add Mail Account.
- Type in your name into the Name section.
- Type your email address into the Address section.
- Type password in Password.
- Description can be left as the address or updated to something more specific (e.g. Work Account).
- Touch Save in upper right corner.
- Touch POP tab from top right.
- Fill out Incoming Mail Server settings and user name + password.
Note: Your incoming server will be pop.yourdomainname.com, where yourdomainname is replaced with the domain name you are using. Your user name will be the full email address.
- Fill out Outgoing Mail Server settings and user name + password.
Note: Your outgoing will be smtp.yourdomainname.com, where yourdomainname is replaced with the domain name you are using. Your user name will be the full email address.
- Touch save in upper right.
- Touch account again to get to settings.
- Touch the outgoing mail server.
- Touch the SMTP server you entered.
- Verify it is marked as ON, verify use SSL is off, verify Authentication is set to Password, verify server port 25.
- Touch SMTP in the upper left to return to the server list.
- Touch the account name in upper left to return to account info.
- Touch advanced and ask them to verify any special setting here.
